The Town of Menifee seeks a part-time Code Enforcement Officer. The Position shall perform Code Enforcement work as it relates to the Town's Planning Commission. The Code Enforcement Officer will perform a variety of duties in support of the Town's Zoning Regulations; monitor and enforce applicable Town Ordinances, codes, and all related zoning and land-use regulations, as well as those regulations related to the health and safety, blight, and other matters of public concern that are covered by the Town's Ordinances; will serve as a resource and provide information on Town regulations to property owners, residents, businesses, the general public, and other Town divisions.

The qualified applicant should have the equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade supplemented by specialized training in criminal justice, public administration, business administration, or a related field. Moreover, the applicant should have one year of work experience involving a high level of public contact including some experience dealing with the public in an enforcement, inspection, investigation or customer service capacity. Experience that includes the enforcement of municipal codes is highly desirable.

The qualified applicant should also possess an appropriate, valid Arkansas driver's license and show successful completion of Arkansas Code Enforcement Requirements within 6 months of hire.

Moreover, the applicant should have normal vision with or without correction as well as hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction.

The applicant should be prepared to meet the physical demands of the working environment including mobility which enables the individual to work in the field as well as the office, to stand, stoop, reach, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, walk on uneven terrain, loose soil, and sloped surfaces, to lift and/or carry light weights; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive head movements, and fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard, ability to operate a vehicle to travel to various locations, and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
